Even though Avery Altobelli and Jessica Sutton aren’t even in the top 10 on your leaderboard, I think they’ve had the best mini season out of the whole thing. They have such a high average for doing so many comps. Even though there are dancers with perfect 1sts, they haven’t done as many comps. Obviously perfect 1st is still impressive but I’m just amazed by those other two having such a good average for the amounts of comps they’ve gone too!

oh yeah for sure!! the leaderboard isn't meant to be a definitive measure of anything. it doesn't take into account how many people compete, whether it's a more "competitive" location, etc etc. not to mention how inconsistent the placings are sometimes - had to knock piper perusse like 10 places down today because she placed 8th once after averaging 1st and 2nd for so long </3

any dancer who even averages a top 3 placement (so anybody who shows up on the leaderboard's first tab) already has a really good shot at nationals in my opinion. the individual rankings among those listed dancers don't matter as much tbh! as you said it's just as/even more impressive for a dancer to average a top 3 placement even after competing 5 times.
